Design and 3D Printing of a Custom GoPro Mount

In this project, we developed a custom mount for a GoPro camera designed to fit a specific installation.

The goal was to create a functional part that would hold the camera securely and work with a GoPro-compatible mounting system.

3D design of the mount

First, we created the 3D model of the mount based on the camera position, mounting points and the space available for installation.

The part includes an upper plate with slots for position adjustment and a lower section compatible with the standard GoPro-style mounting system.

We also added reinforcement in the most important areas to improve the strength of the part during use.

A custom mount for a specific application

One of the main advantages of 3D printing custom mounts is that the geometry can be adapted exactly to the project.

We can change the height, angle, distance between mounting points or the overall shape of the bracket so that it fits correctly on a machine, structure, vehicle, enclosure or other equipment.

3D printing of a functional part

Once the design was complete, the mount was prepared for 3D printing. For this type of part, it is important to choose a suitable material based on mechanical strength, vibration and the conditions in which the mount will be used.

3D printing makes it possible to produce a prototype quickly and check whether the camera is positioned correctly. If necessary, the design can be modified and printed again.
