This project started with an idea and quickly turned into a real, physical prototype thanks to 3D printing. We worked on a metal detector concept, preparing the 3D model and making sure every part would fit together properly before sending it to the printer.
One of the best things about prototyping this way is the speed. Instead of waiting weeks for expensive tooling, we could print the parts, assemble them, check how everything looked and felt, make a few adjustments, and print an improved version almost immediately.
For projects like this, appearance is only part of the story. The prototype also needs to be comfortable to hold, practical to assemble, and suitable for real-life testing. That’s exactly what 3D printing makes possible: you can experiment, improve the design, and keep refining it until you’re happy with the result.
