3D Scanning and 3D Printing for Replacement of Broken Parts

This project demonstrates the reproduction of a broken component using 3D scanning and 3D printing. The client provided a damaged part, which was digitized using a high-precision 3D scanner.

Through 3D scanning, an accurate digital model of the original part was created, allowing precise reconstruction of its geometry. 3D modeling was then used to refine the design, ensuring proper fit and improved functionality.

After completing the digital model, the part was manufactured using 3D printing with ABS-like photopolymer resin. This material offers strength, dimensional stability, and durability, making it suitable for technical components and functional parts.

3D printing of replacement parts allows repair of devices without the need for original spare parts, reducing costs and lead times. This approach is widely used for restoring discontinued components, repairing electronics, and producing custom parts on demand.
