3D Printed Paintball Replacement Part

The client requested the production of a paintball part using 3D printing to replace a broken component.

After the first printed version, real-world testing was carried out. Following minor manual adjustments, the part began to function correctly. It was confirmed that the strength is more than sufficient, allowing for potential weight reduction in future versions.

During testing, several improvements were identified in fastening areas and contact zones with other parts of the mechanism.

Main adjustments made:

• Round the rear part to better match the original shape
• Increase the distance between mounting supports to ensure proper spring operation
• Slightly reduce the tip to avoid an overly sharp profile

• Enlarge the mounting hole to allow free movement
• Reduce contact in areas that create friction during rotation
• Decrease the size of reinforcements to reduce weight
• Reduce the thickness of the main element

• Modify the edge shape to improve paintball movement behavior

• Adjust small areas that create friction with the opposing part
